Corporate Roundtables

The Centre for Women in Business (CWB) is excited to host the second phase of Advancing Supplier Diversity in Atlantic Canada with Sourcing Roundtables as one project. In NS, PEI and NB, hosting organizations CWB and the PEI Business Women’s Association (PEIBWA) and Women in Business New Brunswick (WBNB), will be organizing Sourcing Roundtables with diverse suppliers.

The roundtables will connect corporations, companies, and government departments with women-owned businesses to explore potential supplier relationships. Whether an organization has a formal supplier diversity program or simply aims to engage more local vendors, these roundtables offer an opportunity to discover innovative, local products and services while supporting diverse businesses.

Designed to create new business opportunities and foster stronger, more inclusive supply chains, the roundtables’ structured, yet engaging format, ensures that all participants – both corporate representatives and women entrepreneurs – gain introductions, valuable insights, connections, and potential business partnerships.

This event goes beyond simple presentations – it facilitates direct connections between corporate buyers and women entrepreneurs, creating meaningful opportunities for both.

During the roundtables:

  • The corporate organization has 15 minutes to introduce their company, social responsibility initiatives, procurement practices and expectations
  • The host organization (CWB, PEIBWA or WBNB) will then facilitate 10 to 15 women business owners who each deliver a 3-minute pitch about their company, products and unique value proposition
  • Ending with questions and discussions.

Why Corporates should Attend:

  • Identify potential new vendors offering fresh solutions and aligning with local or diverse sourcing goals
  • Build meaningful partnerships that create long-term economic impact
  • Enhance your company’s reputation as a champion of inclusive and community-based business practices

Why Women Entrepreneurs should Attend:

  • Gain exposure to potential clients and markets that were previously unknown or out of reach
  • Learn about corporate procurement needs and expectations
  • Build relationships that could lead to new business opportunities both with the host and other women entrepreneurs
