About the Centre for Women in Business

It takes more than just a good idea to become a successful entrepreneur.

It takes knowledge and support; that is where the Centre for Women in Business can help. A leader in entrepreneurial growth, the Centre is a university-based business development centre dedicated to offering practical, results-oriented programs and services for women entrepreneurs across mainland Nova Scotia. Business management training, trade missions, one-to-one business advice, networking and a membership program are among the opportunities the Centre offers to develop and support women-owned enterprises. Since it opened in 1992 the Centre has assisted more than 10,000 entrepreneurs across Atlantic Canada.

Who we are: The Centre for Women in Business, with support from Mount Saint Vincent University and Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) helps women succeed at every level of business.

What we do: As a recognized leader, we support and advise women in business helping them be sustainable and making them more competitive. We give them the leadership opportunities and vital connections that help them advance and succeed in their business.
