Atlantic Canada’s Leading Resource for Women Entrepreneurs Since 1992

About Us

It takes more than a great idea to succeed in business.CWB_headshots_0022-02-resize

It requires knowledge and support; that is where the Centre for Women in Business can help.

A leader in entrepreneurial growth, the Centre for Women in Business is Canada’s only university-based business development centre for women. We are located on the fourth floor of the Margaret Norrie McCain Centre for Teaching, Learning and Research, on the campus of Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, and our team is dedicated to offering skills training and resources to women entrepreneurs across mainland Nova Scotia.

Business management training, trade missions, one-to-one business advice, networking and a membership program are among the opportunities the Centre offers to develop and support women-owned enterprises. Since it opened in 1992 with the support of Mount Saint Vincent University and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), the Centre has assisted more than 13,000 entrepreneurs across Atlantic Canada.
