CWB seeking expressions of interest for podcast producer

The Centre for Women in Business is seeking expressions of interest for various roles for an upcoming podcast project. The project will include a 10-episode series profiling women business owners across Atlantic Canada, targeted towards young women in Atlantic Canada, 18-34, exploring entrepreneurship as a career option.

We are requesting expressions of interest from registered businesses in Nova Scotia for a producer, host, and graphic designer. Details for the role of producer are included below.

The CWB makes no guarantee that this project will be assigned to those who submit an expression of interest and will not be an exclusive contract for the provision of the described deliverables. The CWB may contract others for services the same as, or similar, to those detailed below.

Please submit any expressions via email to cwbmembership@msvu.ca with the subject line ‘CWB EOI – Podcast Producer’ by Thursday, November 12 at 5:00 PM.

Project Deliverables:

  • Create a detailed production timeline and work back schedule for the 10-episode series
  • Advise and support the CWB project team on podcast best practices
  • Lead pre-recording meetings with each guest, our host and the CWB project lead
  • Record, edit, and provide a ready-to-publish file for each episode
  • Advise the CWB project lead on a platform to publish the series
  • Coordinate publishing with the CWB project lead and communications coordinator

Additional Details:

  • We anticipate this project to take place from December 2020 – February 2021.
  • Meetings with the CWB project lead and team will take place virtually.
  • The podcast will feature guests from across the Atlantic provinces and therefore additional meetings and recording itself will need to be coordinated virtually. The CWB may cover costs associated with equipment shipment to guests or other – please describe any such anticipated costs in your submission.
  • It is expected that the applicant has access to all of the equipment that they need to prepare, record, and edit the podcast series. Any costs associated with equipment, software, etc. will not be covered by the CWB. Costs associated with hosting the podcast, stipends for guests, etc. will be covered by the CWB.
  • You will be credited as the podcast producer.

In your expression of interest, please include:

  • A brief summary of your experience producing podcasts, including links to podcasts you have produced
