Please join us in welcoming our newest team member, Mary Ellen Morrison, our Program Assistant
Currently in her third year at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU), she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology and a minor in French. With an interest in people, social interactions, and the systems that shape our communities, Mary Ellen shared that she hopes to “discover ways that can empower communities and foster their well-being, and help government effectively develop relationships with citizens that benefit the people.”
As a Program Assistant at CWB, Mary Ellen will work alongside the Programs and Special Projects team, helping to support the development and coordination of programs for women-identifying entrepreneurs. Her responsibilities will include program data collection and management, project coordination, program planning, and data analysis using Excel.
What drew her to CWB? “I wanted to be part of an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the community, uplifts women’s voices, and promotes representation in an industry that has historically overlooked diverse perspectives.”
During her time with CWB, she is looking forward to gaining a behind-the-scenes understanding of how a non-profit organization operates, from proposal development and program planning to implementation and training. She is also excited to strengthen her skills in data analysis, data management, and developing documentation and methodologies for internal processes.
We’re thrilled to have her and look forward to seeing all that she’ll bring to the CWB team. Welcome Mary Ellen!
