Christine started Maritime Mama’s Munchies in 2022. After moving to Rural Nova Scotia with her family, she started missing the Filipino comfort foods she grew up eating, so she decided to start making them for her family. Maritime Mama’s Munchies started with cookie mixes and Asian milk buns at the local farmers markets.
Throught the incredible support and mentorship in the SPICE program, Christine now also offers hot/prepared Filipino Food at the New Glasgow Market and Filipino Fusion food with her husband at the Merigomish Schoolhouse Farmer’s Market.

Sandra Garcia and Héctor Díaz are the founders of Naguará Venezuelan Food. Originally from different regions of Venezuela, they have combined their family traditions, recipes, and culinary influences to create an authentic Venezuelan food experience in Nova Scotia.
