TalentMinded embracing strategies offered by the Greater Heights of Growth Program

When Emma Scott and Kim Benedict recognized the gaps in the talent acquisition solutions market they decided to use their expertise to create change.

Founded in 2015, and driven by an unwavering belief that companies of all sizes deserved exceptional, all-in-one recruiting services, TalentMinded offers Talent Acquisition-as-a-Service (TAaaS), a groundbreaking subscription-based, monthly managed recruiting solution capable of scaling on-demand and facilitating hiring processes worldwide.

“TalentMinded offers a monthly managed service to provide everything you need to make the right hires: people, process, tools, technology and employer branding. Our innovative subscription based recruiting solution is agile, modern and can flex up and down as your hiring needs change. TalentMinded’s team of talent experts can be your sole recruiting provider or act as an extension of your team enabling you to increase speed and quality of hire,” says Scott.

When Scott found an ad online for the Greater Heights of Growth Program she wanted to take the opportunity to continue learning and help her business thrive after the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The last ten years, particularly through the pandemic, have been hugely educational to me. Joining this program as we scale our business again has been incredibly beneficial,” says Scott.

“The program ticked all the boxes and has reinforced some of my ideas and learnings as an entrepreneur. In addition, the opportunity to learn from and be surrounded by other women entrepreneurs and to be able to learn from each other is an amazing experience.”

The Greater Heights of Growth program is delivered by the Centre for Women in Business and is funded, in part, through the Women’s Entrepreneurship Strategy. It offers an opportunity for high-growth businesses to build a foundation and infrastructure to support the scaling of profitable growth, with effective cash flow management, innovative incremental revenue drivers with a talented team, and a positive culture that is aligned with a clear vision and growth roadmap.

The year-long program is delivered virtually for women entrepreneurs across Canada with revenues of more than $1 million.

Scott started the program in January and is excited to see what it will bring and how it will support her business and business goals moving forward.

“We are still in the early stages of the program, but the facilitators have already provided invaluable insights into sales and marketing. Now, we’re focusing on operations and leveraging the Entrepreneurial Operating System and Traction framework. I’m eager to learn from both the facilitators and my fellow women entrepreneurs,” says Scott.

The program focuses on each individual business to help them evolve and succeed through analyzing industry dynamics, expanding business networks, optimizing processes for efficiency, evaluating and enhancing leadership and talent, and more.

Participants also have access to personalized one-on-one coaching from the facilitators, peer-to-peer learning that provides a supportive community, strategic growth planning and other fantastic features.

“What I love about the Greater Heights of Growth program is that everyone brings unique strengths and challenges, allowing us to share and learn from each other’s experiences,” says Scott.

Even as a co-founder of a business Scott knows that being an entrepreneur can feel lonely at times so having support through a women-led and run program is extremely helpful and appreciated. The safe space the program provides is a feature that makes it unique to other types of programming for women.

“Being a founder can be incredibly lonely, and it often feels like you’re constantly making mistakes. It’s invaluable to be part of a community of women who face similar challenges, where we can share experiences from different industries, offer support, and remind each other that we are not alone,” adds Scott.

“When I first heard about Greater Heights of Growth, I didn’t realize this type of programming was available for women-owned businesses. Each session has provided valuable insights that I’ve immediately applied to my business.”

Looking ahead, TalentMinded is poised for significant growth and innovation in its recruitment services, continuing to scale and evolve in the coming years.
