Join the Centre for Women in Business online! Coffee Talk is designed to connect women in business across Nova Scotia with each other, encourage collaborations and improve business skills through sharing.

Each session will include a welcome, introductions, and a facilitated discussion on recent news or trends in business.

When: Thursdays from 9-10am
Where: Online – A computer with reliable, high-speed internet connection and a headset with a microphone are required.

CRA: Home Office Expenses Q&A

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many Canadian employees working from home to help minimize the spread of the virus. This has raised legitimate questions about how eligible employees can claim supplies and work-space-in-the-home expenses.

The Canada Revenue Agency is now in a position to introduce new measures for the 2020 tax year and will offer new tools, along with simplified forms, making the process as easy as possible for Canadians to claim home office expense deductions.

They plan to announce the details of the administrative solution and the new tools to claim work-space-in-the-home expenses on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Following this announcement, join the CRA for a Q&A session on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 1-2PM EST.
