Presented by RBC, this event has become the province's premiere International Women's Day celebration, and the cornerstone of the Centre’s annual event schedule.

Help us commemorate it over an inspiring breakfast keynote at the World Trade and Convention Centre, and to come together as a community as we reflect on the global theme of International Women's Day 2017: BeBoldForChange.

We're excited to welcome Tonia Jahshan to Halifax as our keynote speaker for International Women’s Day 2017.

A prominent Canadian entrepreneur, Jahshan is the owner and founder of Steeped Tea Inc.

Her story offers a unique, Nova Scotian connection.

Jahshan’s journey started in 2006 with a mini- vacation to a Halifax bed and breakfast with her husband Hatem.

It was here, for the first time, that she tried Cream of Earl Grey loose leaf tea. She was blown away by the flavour. and wanted to share it. In 2012, the Jahshans entered CBC’s Dragons’ Den (watch the episode below) and partnered with Jim Treliving and David Chilton.

Today, Steeped Tea has over 7,000 consultants, and has been recognized year after year as one of PROFIT 500 Canada’s fastest growing companies. Tonia herself has garnered the title of Canada’s #1 Female Entrepreneur by W100. She has received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women Award, and has been listed as 1 of 6 Women to Watch on forbes.com.
