“For entrepreneurs, the ability to present your information to clients is one of the most relevant skills you can have. Whether in a one-on-one meeting with a prospect or presenting in front of hundreds, it is important that you speak confidently, knowledgeably, and with professionalism (which includes proper grammar!).

As a former classroom teacher and someone who designs and facilitates workshops, I joined Toastmasters so I could receive feedback re my use of 'ah' and other types of fillers that could lessen the professionalism of my presentations. I have remained a member because Toastmasters offers so much more. Besides being one of the nicest group of people you could meet, Toastmasters offers leadership development and volunteer opportunities in an environment that is structured, supportive, and welcoming. Whether you are an experienced speaker or someone who would rather have a root canal than stand in front of a group, Toastmasters provides opportunities that will gently, and at your own pace, push you out of your comfort zone ... all in a safe and supportive environment.”
